Travel, Explore, & Discover Yourself

Do you know the movie ‘Eat, Prey, Love’ with Julia Roberts? If yes, then you understand why this movie inspired me to travel and explore to find myself.

It was a rather dark time in my life, but after watching this movie, I decided to do something to prepare myself for my next step in life. I always wanted to go to Paris, and although I lived in London, about 2 hours away, I never went. So, this time I booked tickets, and a hotel, packed myself and my twin daughters, and we went.

At first, I was confused at the railway station in Paris. At the taxi rank outside the station, I saw homeless people sleeping on the street, which was a bit of a shock; in England, you do not see that often. However, next to the sleeping on the floor homeless people was a taxi rank. I was on crutches, and a man managing the taxis immediately approached me and got me a cab without waiting. Thus, I had a good and bad experience in the first few minutes.

We drove through Paris for 30 min. The architecture was enchanting, but the further down we were going, the place’s charm disappeared. We arrived at the IBIS hotel. A bit of a disappointment, but we were on a budget, so there was no reason to complain.

What we managed to see in a few days?

Eiffel Tower

I have seen on TV the Eiffel Tower many times, but it is much more impressive when you see it live; it is unlike any other one.

Louvre's magnetic art core is worth seeing at least once in life.

Seine River Cruise is a relaxing riverboat trip that allows you to admire the view of Paris from different angles.

Aquarium de Paris - fantastic experience to see a shark just in the middle of Paris. I had many opportunities to visit Aquarium in London, but we saw sharks in Paris for some reason.

The Guimet Museum of Asian Arts, I did not know about this museum. Thus, it was a surprise, I did not expect to see Asian history in the core of Paris, but this is what I love about not planned trips. Here I felt at home.

For me, travelling is healing. Tell me your story about travelling, where you have been, and what you have seen and got from your journeys.
